About

I am a…

…wife, to a wonderful man who makes me feel safe and loved and beautiful.

…mom, to two hilarious little ones who constantly keep me scratching my head, laughing till my sides ache and cleaning stains out of the carpetĀ  – and to one adorable infant who looks like my dad.

…friend to many many people far, far away – I miss you all.

…photographer who always wants to be better than I was yesterday, but always puts off editing until tomorrow (editing is my nemesis)

…middle child, complete with everything that goes with it (sorry Ellie – it seems I have handed down middle-child-dom to you)

…child of the living God because he gave me life and then saved it.

…not-so-perfect follower of Christ who is trying to figure out how to love people as He did. I’m not very good at this, but by His grace I’ll learn and grow in it.

Hi, I don’t even know your name but I love your writing and have been reading your thoughts on God’s love and what he’s all about. I am so encouraged, thank you. I think you and I would be really good friends if we knew each other because we think a lot alike.

Hey there soon the sister-in-law. Colin was talking about your blog last weekend so I wanted to check it out. VERY impressive! We were talking lot about Payton’s first day, good to hear everything went well. I totally starting crying when I read that Ellie was crying…that’s sooooo sweet!
I hope you guys are peaceful in you new place. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Oh yea…I love the name Shiloh! I can’t wait to meet him.

    Lots of love,

I was happy to discover your blog today. I was unable to find a contact link. I hope it’s OK that I’m contacting you through a public comment. I’ve developed an educational program for Windows called SpellQuizzer that helps children learn their spelling and vocabulary words without the battle that parents often have getting them to sit down and write them out while the parents dictate to them. The parent enters the child’s spelling words into the software making a sound recording of each word. Then the software helps the child practice his or her words. It really helped my children with their weekly spelling lists.

I would appreciate your reviewing SpellQuizzer in How I See Things (and/or your other blog, Praying as they Grow). If you are interested in hosting a giveaway of a SpellQuizzer license I’d be happy to supply a free license to the winner. You can learn more about the program at http://www.SpellQuizzer.com. There’s a video demo you can watch at http://www.spellquizzer.com/SpellQuizzer-Demo.htm. Finally, there’s a page targeted to homeschooling families at http://www.spellquizzer.com/spelling-software-for-homeschoolers.htm. I’d be happy to send you a complimentary license for the software. Please let me know if you are interested.

    Thank you very much!
